What I love about Class One: Class One is more than just a dance school… I started the C1 journey over 25 years ago with my mother Shirley and in this time I have seen so many of my dancers progress and succeed in professional careers. C1 is the place where I see pupils gain their confidence and grow into wonderful young adults, its not only the children but also the parents who make friends for life. Class One is family and I am so grateful to have a place where we can teach our love of dance through our pupils.

Fun Fact: My brother and I are born on the same day. But we are not twins! SPOOKY!
What I love about Class One: For me I absolutely love group choreography and dance teams are my absolute favourite! I love the fact that Class One has the best teams around, each member has amazing team spirit and it really shows! Not to forget teaching at Class One, i having been teaching for 10 years here and have trained many pupils so Class One is a big part of my life. Teaching is the best feeling and I am over the moon when a child makes even the slightest improvement and cant wait to see what else we can work on.
Did You Know? For three consecutive years, Emma was captain of the legendary Chester Vixens Cheerleading Squad and led her teams to perform on Sky Sports and other major events in the Cheshire area. She has also co-created and managed a proffesional carberet perfomance team who have supported many well known charity events in Staffordshire. Emma was part of the teams Pheonix and Synergy winning numerous European and World Titles, she has also been a European Solo Finalist. Emma has been teaching at Class One for over ten years and has a key focus on dancer conditioning, flexibility, strength and acro having trained in Acrobatic Arts. Emma has trained students from beginner to premiere champ level and co-choreographed winning team routines.
Stacie

What I love about Class One: I started dancing at Class One at the age of 12 and have continued to love dance ever since. Being apart of Class One enabled me to build my confidence and resilience through the regular performance opportunities such as competitions and showcases. I am proud to be apart of Class one and now that I am apart of the teaching team, I hope to pass on the skills I have learnt to the newest generation of performers.
Did You Know? Stacie trained at Birmingham Ormiston Academy where she worked with the likes of Motion House, a dance and circus company. She graduate with a BA Hons in Dance with Costume Design at Edge Hill University. Stacie is also a qualified secondary school teacher who delivers both the GCSE Dance course and also the Level 3 Tech Award in Performing Arts.
Kimberley

What I love about Class One:
I love how close the Class One community is. It truly is a family, the bonds the students have with each other are so special and lovely to see. Also how much the pupils cheer on each other whether it’s competitions, in class or the Class One Shows. I’m truly grateful to apart of the C1 family!
Did you know:
Kimberley has been dancing and competing since she was 6, primarily in Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz.
From the age of 14 to 18 she trained at Birmingham Ormiston Academy. She has had many opportunities to perform with industry professional including being a dance captain for The Worlds Biggest Pantomime at Ultia Arena Birmingham as well as dance captain and principal dancer for the 2 month run of The Snow Queen at The Birmingham Old Rep Theatre.
She later graduated from University Centre Weston with a first class honours in Ba(Hons) Musical Theatre in 2024. While at UCW, she had the opportunity to train abroad in New York City at Broadway Dance Centre for an entire month and also performed in a cabaret show in Sweden as a principal vocalist and performer.
Kimberley still performs when possible. She has been apart of 2 new musicals by Rachel Walker-Mason and Eloise Hodder which she performed in both Bristol and London (2024-2025).
Aimee

What I love about Class One: The commitment and dedication of all our members, each dancer leaves the class giving 110%, it makes teaching totally worth it! Not to mention the whole teaching team is so welcoming, it’s a joy to work with each and every one of the lovely ladies. Last but not least, Class One makes me realise why I love dancing and so much! I love teaching and seeing all of our pupils enjoy dance just as much as i do.
Did You Know? Amy has a wealth of experience when it comes to the Ballet genre. Aimee has spent two years dancing proffessionally with the English Youth Ballet performing full length productions of classical ballets joining recognised principal dancers in the leading roles throughout theatres in the UK & Ireland. Aimee has also been the proud nominee and winner of the I.D.T.A. Theatre Award where over 500 candidates out of more than 7,500 are nominated each year for this prestigeous award.
Bethany

What I love about Class One: The passion and energy that the Class One students bring to every class, the wanting to learn more. I gain so much energy from watching the students practise and perform! Alongside this, Class One has the most wonderful teachers to work with. It’s a joy to come in to work!
Did you know? Bethany has been participating in some form of Performing Arts from a very young age. It started with dance and then moved onto singing and then Musical Theatre. Bethany trained at the Jill Clewes Academy for Theatre Arts. It was here Bethany was able to take up performance opportunities such as performing at the Royal Ballet School in London before studying for her degree qualification in Musical Theatre for 3 years at the University of Wolverhampton. Bethany loves passing down her knowledge and passion to future performers. Bethany also continues to perform in local theatres.

What I love about Class One: From a very young age, Class One became home to me. I have always loved the sense of family it gives to pupils and parents. I am proud to have trained at Class One and now i'm part of a great teaching team. I love seeing the love of dance shine through each one of our pupils on stage and at competitions.
Did you know? Charlie trained at Class One from the age of 8 years old and has been a keen member of all Gillians competitive Freestyle Teams. Charlie was most successful in teams Pheonix and Synergy who won numerous European and World Championship Team Titles. Charlie was also a hugley successful soloist dancer and has won many regional Campionships at Premiere Champ level, alongside being a finalist in many British and European competitions. However, one of her proudest moments was being crowned World Premiere solo Champion in 2013, beating many talented dancers to that 1st place spot. Charlie has also won many titles in Rock and Roll and Pairs, achieving another World title.
Lauren

Fun Fact: I am also a qualified accountant!
What I love about Class One: I have been part of Class One for many years now and I love that I have made so many friends and we still all keep in touch even though some have retired from dancing. You cherish your memories and my friends are more like family! I am part of a great teaching team and Class One feels like home.
Did You Know? Lauren trained with Class One for many years and has won many regional Championship titles in Rock and Roll including the British Championships. She has made numerous solo finals at Championship level but considers one of her greatest achievments being crowned World Pairs Champion, beating many talented dancers to that 1st place spot. Alongside this, Lauren was a member of Class One's team Pheonix & Synergy who won many World & European Titles. Lauren has also been a demonstartion dancer for the IDTA Freestyle Lectures.

Fun Fact: I LOVE CATS!
What I love about Class One: I danced at Class One from the age of 10 years old. Class One gave me a platform to do what I love and the confidence to perform and compete. It has been wonderful to come back and see how far the school has come since then and how much the children love every minute of their time here! I am part of the teaching team and wouldn't change it for the world. Its a great feeling to have started with Class One and now I get to help shape the stars of the future.
Did You Know? Kelly has graduated with a BA Hons Degree in Music and is associated with The Associated Board of the Royal Schools of Music which is the UK's largest music education body, the largest music publishers and the world's leading provider of music exams. Kelly has worked professionally for many years appearing in well know theatre productions which include JP's Production, Back In the Habbit and her proudest moment was performing in Cameron Mackintosh's Les Miserable in the West End.

Did You Know? Sarah has been a professional singer since 1984, singing teacher since 1999 and after completing a Creative Arts Degree and PGCE in Primary Teaching. Prior to teaching, Sarah recorded and performed in a professional duo all over the country for a wide variety of gigs; small local gigs to large festivals, working alongside the current ‘big names’
