1.PAYMENTS

• All payments are made by standing order
• Payment must reach us on 1st of each month to secure your class place
• Members cannot attend class without payment being made. (please also see section 7)
• Members class fees must be up to date before any private lesson slot, competition entry or show entry issued. 
• Payments later than 1st of each month will incur a late payment fee. 

2.MEMBERSHIP

• In the exception of curriculum education; members are not permitted to attend any other Dance, Acrobatics, Drama or Performing Arts School/Club/ Lecture or Workshop associated or taught by teachers associated with the ADFP / IDTA / UKA / Acro Arts or similar. 
• If you have been absent from the studio and not made payment you will lose your class place. (also see section 4 for absences) 
• If for whatever reason you wish to discontinue your membership or participation in a class, we require 1 full month’s written notice with 1 full months tuition payment. Notice can be sent to our office email address. 
• Memerbs contact Information must be kept up to date via the office email: including medical conditions. 
• We reserve the right to revert to online sessions during any period of enforced closure outside of our control.
   

3.OFFICE HOURS & CONTACT INFORMATION

• Office contact hours - Monday to Friday 9am – 5pm only.
• We are closed Sundays and any scheduled holidays. (No contact available).
• Contact is available through the office phone number or email. We also accept contact via our official FB page. Please do not contact any teaching staff directly.
• We always have time to deal with any problems or issues and would welcome your thoughts on any pressing matters. If any issues or concerns arise, they must be discussed directly with the school principal only (outside of class time).

4.HOLIDAYS & ABSENCES

• Missed classes are not refundable and will be noted as an absence. 
• There will be set closures during the Summer & Christmas holidays (to be communicated to members)
• Any other ad hoc closures due to shows, festivals or competitions will be communicated in advance and make up classes may be added to replace any missed sessions. 
• If you have been absent from the studio and we have not recieved payment please be aware that you will lose your class place. 
• Students who miss three or more classes may have a diminished role or entry into competitions, our stage shows or any other performances.
• All absences must be recorded via the office mobile - text or call. 

5.UNIFORM

• All students should wear the C1 Uniform during class & lesson time.
• Alternatively, students may wear complete plain black practise wear. 
• NEW members joining may wear comfortable clothes for first session. Ideally plain black. 
• Hair must be tied up neatly during class time.
• Any other dancewear or named/brand wear is not permitted.
• Dance shoes should be worn in all class and on stage. The only exception will be during a competitive class only. 

6.STUDIO CLASSES

• Students should arrive 5 minutes before a class or lesson.
• Each dancer must have a positive attitude at all in times in all studio classes.
• Food is not permitted in the studio.
• Video and Photography is not permitted during classes or private lessons
• Parents or students should not enter the studio when a class is in progress.
• All classes are drop off and collect.
• Where younger children are participating, they must be completely dry/potty trained. 
• Parents are not permitted in any private lessons (exception competitive)
• Children should bring bottled water to class (juice ok) we do not allow any fizzy/energy drinks.

7.SHOW/EXAM/COMPETITION

• All students are to respect the professional decisions of the principal or teacher and do what is asked of them. All students and parents must understand that the principal has the final say about show position placement and all other matters concerning shows and routines. These decisions are non-negotiable.
• The above also applies to competition.
• Show placement is based on factors such as attendance, dance ability and performance capability.
• Examination grading is determined by the principal. This is also professionally determined by the child’s individual capability
• Purchased tickets for shows and competitions are not refundable.
• Students tuition payments must be up to date before any show or competition is attended

8.GENERAL CONDUCT

• We do not tolerate bad language, bad behaviour or excessive alcohol consumption at any competition, event or show we attend or organise.
• C1 operates a non-gossip & bullying policy – Gossiping and Bullying by a parent or student towards other students, parents, staff members or another dance school is not tolerated.
• We do not tolerate aggressive or abusive behaviour from parents or students and will result in the immediate termination of your membership.
• Students should be respectfull and polite at all times and set an appropriate positive example when wearing the C1 uniform in and out of classes.
• Social Media - Students should ensure appropriate positive behavoiur when on social media, especially when wearing the C1 uniform in photos and videos and avoid anything that could refeclt badly on the schools reputation.
• Drop off and Pick up - All children under 18 should be escorted to and from the studio doors by a parent/guardian within appropriate timing of the class or lesson. We accept no responsibility if this procedure is not followed.
• Class One Dance Academy reserves the right to use any individual, group photographs or videos of your child for promotional purposes; this includes social media platforms. If you do not want your child to appear in such publicity, please indicate at the time of registration in writing via email. All image rights from the photographs or videos are owned by Class One Dance Academy.
• Any members who have questions or concerns regarding the policies or decisions made by Class One Dance Academy need to make a personal appointment with the principle. These policies which are set forth at the academy are based on over 30 years of experience in the dance industry that have helped create the award-winning tuition that is now in place at the studio.
