Our son has been attending dance classes at C1 for 4 years, and we are delighted with the skills he has learnt, his progress and his confidence. He enjoys attending his lessons each week and this is testament to all of the lovely hardworking teaching staff that have encouraged and supported him.

My Daughter has been training at Class One for 15 years. The Academy has not only made her into what we can describe as a fantastic dancer winning many prestigious titles but has also helped shape her into the wonderful young lady she is today. Her school has commented on how her dancing has helped her academically, which has allowed her to challenge herself in everything she does and always having that drive to be better. The Academy has a real family orientated feel and we think its amazing to be part of it.

Antonia started when she was three years old, she has progressed into the musical theatre class which she attends every Wednesday. Class one has been an excellent dance school and has helped Antonia be more confident and a happy girl that adores her dancing, she has taken part in several shows which are always professionally organised and are a credit to both the dancers and teachers. Class one has become like a family , all involved work very hard and put so much effort into everything, including all show outfits and class uniforms which are very important as they must be worn during all lessons which shows a commitment to the dance school. As a parent I would highly recommend class one to everybody, and thank you to Gill and her team for their continued hard work.

Since joining Class 1 my daughter has flourish in a positive and nurturing environment. The spark is back in her eye and she is doing the level of dancing she has always had the potential for. During lock down online classes were provided that not only benefited her dance skills but also gave her the essential mental health and well being support she needed. Gill always greeted us with a positive smile, which was very welcome in such unprecedented times. My daughter is now preparing for competition level dancing and during the choreography lessons her opinions and suggestions were listened to as a routine was put together. Gill and the team are extremely supportive and positive. She has given advice to my daughter now she wants to take her dancing to post 16 education level. I feel without Class One my daughter may have given up on something that benefits her in so many areas and something she loves so much.Class One, I can't recommend and praise you enough

Freya has loved dancing with Class One since the age of 4 when she joined baby ballet and eight years later, continues to enjoy ballet and musical theatre classes.Class One shows are always produced to an amazing standard and the children clearly love performing in them as much as their families love watching them. We always look forward to showtime! Over the years, Freya has progressed from being shy to a confident dancer who has the biggest smile when on stage. Dancing solo in a lyrical competition really highlighted the improvement in her ability and self belief. The dancers all get along so well and we have both made some lovely friendships which will last for years to come.

My daughter Georgia started class one dance academy in January this year, she loves going each week, unfortunately lock down happened back in March but Gillian made sure that the dance continued through Zoom each week. Thankfully dance has returned back at the studio and is very Covid19 safe and feel 100% happy that she is back dancing thanks to Gillian and her team.

My two daughters have been dancing with class one dance academy for over six years now, they joined in the preparatory ballet class all pretty in pink with lots of pointy toes and loved their classes from day one. Now they are a little older they are still enjoying their junior ballet class and musical theatre/singing. They come out of every class so excited and love practicing all the routines at home. The best nights of the week are when they have dancing.

My daughter has been a member at class one dance academy for two years now. Her whole experience has been nothing but positive. When Ava first started at class one she was a shy and quiet 5 year old who often shied away from performing in front of others. Two years on from this she is like a different child who is so confident, loves to perform and has an absolute love of dance. Her progress both in confidence and her dance ability has been astonishing! As parents we really couldn’t ask for more from Gill and her team who have helped her progress in all areas of dance as well as raising her self esteem to the point that this year she has now joined the competition team. She is really enjoying her 1:1 dance lessons, learning new routines and now looks forward to taking part in competitions, which is something we never thought she would achieve when she first joined! The dance school offers so much, with a wide range of lessons which give children the chance to try a wide range of dance styles, yearly shows and talented, friendly staff which help your child enjoy and develop a love for dance. Ava has so many new friends from joining class one who she didn’t know previously and enjoys every aspect of being part of this dance school.

After attending Class One Dance Academy between the years 2000 and 2012 there was no alternative dance school for our daughter to dance for when she started showing an interest. For the last 4 years Emma-Lou has loved every class that she has been to, with the variety of teachers offering fun filled group classes, competitor classes and also 1-2-1 lessons for the competition routines. ‘No matter who the teacher is, she always comes out of the class smiling and cannot wait to show off what she has learnt that day, practicing through the week so that she can do it again at the next class and learn some more whilst having fun and being around a great group of other pupils who all share the same love for the school.

My daughter Grace started dancing at class one with Gill when she was four years old, that was twelve years ago and what a fantastic twelve years it’s been.Grace started with the cheeky monkey’s and Ballet classes, she loved it so much that we decided to start the competitors class too. We had always experienced a warm friendly welcome to the school and classes and Grace has made countless friends. As Grace started to compete at the age of six, we became part of a big dance family, everyone was really helpful, kind and so supportive. Grace enjoyed dancing at the competitions but suffered a little with nerves, Gill was so understanding and supportive she re-assured Grace and gave her a teddy bear called Eric!!! He was her good luck bear and friend. Eric came everywhere with us to every competition, every dance festival and every show, he became part of the dance family too. She soon over come her nerves and we’ve never looked back since. The time, effort, endless support, and professionalism you receive from class one dance academy along with amazing dancing techniques and classes makes this dance school number one.

My eldest daughter started Class One 11 years ago at the later age of 13... she was welcomed and went from a shy teenager to a confident young woman. Since then, with the help of Gill and her team, she has gone on to win many prestigious titles and now teaches for the academy. Both my other daughters dance at Class One and have enjoyed dancing there since they were 3yrs old. It's a fantastic, positive and friendly environment for a hobby that not only has kept them fit but they have also made some life long friends. Throughout the pandemic, Gill and her team have offered free online sessions to keep the children motivated. Now we are back in the studio, the procedures C1 have in place to keep everyone safe are second to none. I can highly recommend Class One, Gill and her team.

My daughter started dance with class one in 2017 in the Thursday musical theatre class and absolutely loved it putting Hollie in to dance class was the best thing we did for her as the confidence just started to beam from her. Then in 2019 my other two daughters joined one in dancing dots and she has come on leaps and bounds with her concentration and dedication to dance, my eldest daughter started musical theatre class on a Wednesday evening and as is absolutely loving it and is so glad she joined. Abbie started of with little to no confidence in her dance abilities but since being with Gill and the team she has come on brilliantly. I wouldn't change my decision on sending my 3 girls to Class One, its been the best decision I have made for all of them and couldn't thank Gill and the Class One team enough for what they do for the girls. They are just like one big family unit and we love them.

We, along with many other parents, hold immense pride when we see them perform at the Prince of Wales Theatre. It shows the amazing bond between instructor, pupil and peers alike, highlighting the amazing efforts of everybody involved. Class One Dance is an important part of our daughter's life, and will be for many years to come.
